How Often Should I Test My Electrics?

Landlords: From July 2020 you will be required to have an inspection and a report carried out every 5 years. This needs to be done by a qualified electrician.
What Does Periodic Testing Involve?
Periodic testing will give your electrical installations the once over. It can detect any faults that cannot been seen by a visual check. The periodic electrical testing is in place to ensure that hazards such as shocks and fires are prevented.
Your check will be carried out by a qualified electrician who will do an initial visual check. The electrician will then use a residual current device for the circuits that operate within areas such as gardens and bathrooms.
